I created a beautiful Geo Cities website, which took many hours, and Yahoo! promptly deleted it. Why?

The violation message stated it contained 'links to other websites'. Oh my, such a sin! What are they afraid of? Competition? Aren't they rich enough already? The other Geo Cities websites I've seen are totally LAME. I guess that's what they want. Comments?
