Electromagnetic induction questions?

to answer question (b) if they are ossicilating across a magnetic field well that with slots will continue oscillating because they interupt flow of magnetic field hence creating eddies that offer a force which enables the sheet to continue oscillating but for that without slots there is no force hence it stops.but do look futher coz i aint 100%sure.
