Should i put my arm around her or hold her hand?

ok, so we've been into each other for at least a year, and we've been really shy around each other, but I have seen on rare occasions that she actually speaks to me for no apparent reason(shows she's becoming more confident) in turn, I now speak to her all the time about random stuff. anyway, if we go do something sometime, which we might (swimming, playing casual bball, etc.) should i hold her hand or put my arm around her? the handholding part would be nice, but it seems a little too easy and doesn't do enough for me. putting my arm around her might make her a bit nervous/uncomfortable, but in turn would probably have the best effect. any tips from a lady's point of view? thanks
