Why everything about "God" is fear"?

I agree....It was OK during victorian times when people were,on the whole, uneducated and fearfull of authority, but now its just pathetic, and probably the biggest reason that religion is so hated and despised by half of the population of most country's. Only the brainwashed the needy and the gullible are catered for in all of the Religions....I guess we should be greatfull for the fact that religion is dying. The sooner it is gone from society, the sooner man will find peace and live in harmony.
