How do you yse a song's pitch?

I've never heard of yzing the pitch of a song, but that may just be another name for yzing the melody. I think your list is pretty good, but I might add articulation too. Listen for differences in the way the notes are played, such as staccato, accent, or legato, as these can be important indicators for what genre of music the piece is. Another thing to add that would go along with pitch is actual tuning, but unless you're listening to microtonal music, that probably won't be a huge issue. Most music these days is in equal temperament, so you could impress your music teacher by writing on your test. :)
